All day when people have asked when I leave for Scotland I've said "A month from tomorrow!" which most 'eep!' at, including myself. Just now though I got the bigger "Eep!" when I wondered why my FitBit was a day ahead...it's not.
Today is the 31st ladies and gentleman. Not that ANYONE else is surprised by this.
People's responses both in and out of my church has been generous and encouraging- thank you. People from all over have given so that I can reach the fundraising goal to serve full time with 20schemes in Scotland to work with church planters in neighborhoods that are without a gospel presence.. A friend just sent me home with a large and needed suitcase- it has elephants on it and makes me feel loved. Parents of another friend offered the use of luggage for the overseas move. People I haven't seen in years have kindly responded and given or asked in or shared a link.
And every time someone joins in support- whether in monthly/one time giving, luggage, prayer, encouragement: I see a team joining in this work with me and my church. It's exciting.
I get genuinely excited when I learn I have new supporters not simply because we are getting closer to our goal (though that is SO good.) but because I feel like there's a new team member, someone else that wants to get behind this and be part of it. It is incredible to me the way the God has brought people together to do so.
So, here's the current (and one month to go!) skinny:
Thank you for reading along, supporting, encouraging, praying for and giving to this journey.
Please do let me know if you have any questions- whether you're interested in joining in support or not. Please pray that all needed support would be provided.
I am amazed at the work the Lord has already done- over 64% in such a scrunched amount of time (they usually expect to give you about a year for this y'all) is incredible.

We are still in need of a little under 16% to be at 80% with an ultimate goal of 100%. While it seems that I will be going when it comes to the deadline, we do still need support, and particularly monthly support to bolster that happening.
(Also, when I'm at 100% I am very much looking forward to not writing about financial support on here anymore. :) You'll be able to read about what's going on in Scotland, the ups and downs, and how to support in prayer, but no more about financials.)
100% looks like about $3,000 per month. To serve in Glasgow full time for 2 years 20schemes requires that I meet this fundraising goal. This goal allows the ministry of 20schemes to cover my rent, salary, health, admin, training fees -
everything for the 2 years I will serve there.
We need dedicated monthly supporters to fully fund this goal.

Hike in Fort William, Scotland. At least I can read Signage even if I don't know what day it is. |
